Probation, Dismissal, and Honors Designation
Probation
Students enrolled in the graduate degree programs must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or better. Students enrolled in the MBA program who earn three grades below a B or one grade of "F" are automatically placed on probation. Students enrolled in the M.S.B.A., M.S. F. or M.Acc program who earn two grades below a B or one grade of “F” are automatically placed on probation.
For MBA students, four grades below a "B" or one grade of "F" automatically initiates a review of the academic record and written notification of probationary standing. For M.S.B.A., M.S. F. and/or M.Acc students, three grades below a “B” or one grade of “F” automatically initiates a review of the academic record and written notification of probationary standing. This will lead to required consultation between the student and their Academic Advisor and/or Associate Dean for Graduate Programs or the Program Director, regarding immediate remedy and an agreed upon plan to improve the student's grade point average (see policy for Course Repeat Option guidelines).
Dismissal
Additional probationary semesters (to those noted above) may lead to a dismissal from the program.
If a student is dismissed from the program based on the above, a student may petition the Scholastic Standing Committee for readmission to the program.

Honors Designation at Graduate
Honors designation is determined by the cumulative GPA at the time of graduation. Students may be eligible to graduate with honors if they earn the cumulative GPA listed below. Honors classifications are determined at the end of the student's final semester. The ranges listed are precise, rounding up is not considered nor is it permitted.
Honors scale for graduate programs:
Cumulative GPA 3.75 - 3.84 = Cum Laude
Cumulative GPA 3.85 - 3.94 = Magna Cum Laude
Cumulative GPA 3.95 - 4.0 = Summa Cum Laude
